On this website we provide a guide for finding
parts for vintage Ford cars and trucks with a focus on the Model T, Model A and
early Ford flathead V8. This includes hints and links for finding original parts
dating from 1908 to the 1950s and also the available reproduction parts. We also
provide links to other useful websites that contain information about these
vehicles.
Model T Ford (1908 to 1927)
The Model T Ford remains one of the most popular of restoration projects for
the automotive enthusiast. There are several reasons for this. Firstly, the
Model T was produced in large numbers with over 15 million produced and it has
been estimated that around 500,000 are still in existence. There were a huge
number of parts produced to service these vehicles and many are still widely
available. There was also a major aftermarket production of accessory parts. For
these reasons there are still many original parts available. There is also a
number of major manufacturers of reproduction parts, mainly located in the
USA.
There are now a number of ways of locating Model T Ford parts. In recent years it has become possible to locate and purchase a wide variety of parts using the internet. These include websites with stores and auction sites such as eBay. There are also the traditional sources including swap meets, auction houses and classifieds.

Early Ford flathead V8 (1932 to 1953)
The first Ford V8 models were produced in 1932. With some modifications and developments the cars and trucks powered by the famous Ford flathead V8 engine continued until 1954 when the new Y engine was introduced. Parts for these vehicles are popular among restorers and hot rodders. Original parts, particularly early body parts can now be difficult to find. A wide variety of aftermarket speed parts were produced for the flathead engine as became a popular motor for the post-war hot rod enthusiasts. There are still a number of manufacturers that produce the reproduction and speed parts for these vehicles.
